  • 4 bone-in, skin-on chicken legs
  • Zest and juice of 2 navel oranges
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp ginger powder
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and lightly spray a baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. In a bowl, combine orange zest, juice, garlic, soy sauce, honey, ginger powder, and black pepper until mixed.
  3. Place chicken legs in a resealable bag or shallow dish; pour half of the marinade over them. Marinate in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.
  4. Transfer marinated chicken legs to the prepared baking dish; reserve remaining marinade for basting.
  5. Bake for 40-45 minutes until golden brown and internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C), basting halfway through with reserved marinade.
