- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup light brown sugar
- 2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 cup chopped toasted pecans
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (softened)
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1 large egg (lightly beaten)
- 1 can (14 oz) caramel condensed milk
Instructions
- Warm milk until lukewarm. Mix in yeast and sugar; let sit until foamy. Combine flour, remaining sugar, and salt in another bowl. Mix melted butter and egg into the yeast mixture; combine with dry ingredients.
- Transfer to a floured surface and knead for about 8 minutes until smooth. Place in an oiled bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour until doubled.
- Roll the risen dough into a rectangle about ½ inch thick and spread softened butter over it.
- Mix brown sugar, granulated sugar, cinnamon, and chopped pecans in a bowl. Sprinkle over the buttered dough, roll tightly into a log shape, and slice into 12 pieces.
- Grease a baking dish and pour caramel condensed milk at the bottom. Place rolls cut-side up on top of the caramel.
- Cover for another 30 minutes to rise again while preheating oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake uncovered for around 25 minutes until golden.
