- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1 (24 oz) jar Bolognese sauce
- 2 cups shredded whole milk mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- ¼ cup fresh basil, chopped
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a baking dish with nonstick spray.
- In a pot of boiling salted water, cook the gnocchi until they float, about 2 minutes. Drain and set aside.
- In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef for about 5-7 minutes; drain excess fat.
- Stir in the Bolognese sauce and mix well with the browned meat. Add the cooked gnocchi and stir until everything is evenly coated.
- Layer half of the mixture into the greased baking dish, sprinkle with half of the mozzarella cheese, then add the remaining gnocchi mixture. Top with remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until bubbly and golden brown. Garnish with fresh basil before serving.
