  • 1 (16 oz) package store-bought gnocchi
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 (24 oz) jar Bolognese sauce
  • 2 cups shredded whole milk mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • ¼ cup fresh basil, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a baking dish with nonstick spray.
  2. In a pot of boiling salted water, cook the gnocchi until they float, about 2 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef for about 5-7 minutes; drain excess fat.
  4. Stir in the Bolognese sauce and mix well with the browned meat. Add the cooked gnocchi and stir until everything is evenly coated.
  5. Layer half of the mixture into the greased baking dish, sprinkle with half of the mozzarella cheese, then add the remaining gnocchi mixture. Top with remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes until bubbly and golden brown. Garnish with fresh basil before serving.
