  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp pure vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Place the pie crust in a pie dish, crimping the edges if using store-bought; roll out homemade dough to about an eighth-inch thick before placing it in the dish.
  3. In a medium saucepan over low heat, warm heavy cream and whole milk until just heated through (do not boil). Remove from heat.
  4. In a large bowl, whisk together sugar, eggs, cinnamon, and vanilla until combined. Gradually incorporate the warm milk mixture while whisking until smooth.
  5. Pour the custard mixture into the prepared crust. Bake for 45-50 minutes or until set around the edges but slightly jiggly in the center.
  6. Allow cooling at room temperature before refrigerating for at least two hours. Serve chilled or at room temperature with whipped cream or caramel sauce.
