Instructions

  4. Fold wet ingredients into dry mixture until just combined; add chopped nuts if using.
  5. Divide batter evenly between prepared pans and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Cool cakes in pans for 10 minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely. Frost with cream cheese frosting when cooled.
