- 4 cloves garlic, minced

- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: crushed red pepper flakes for heat
Instructions
- Slice the beef against the grain into thin strips.
- In a skillet over medium-high heat, sear half of the beef strips until browned (about 2-3 minutes). Transfer to the Crockpot and repeat with remaining beef.
- Add bell peppers, onion, and garlic to the Crockpot with the seared beef.
- In a bowl, mix beef broth, soy sauce, brown sugar, salt, pepper, and optional crushed red pepper flakes; pour over the meat and veggies.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
- About 30 minutes before serving, combine cornstarch with water until smooth and stir into the mixture to thicken.
