  • 1 ½ cups granulated sugar

  • 1 cup fresh raspberries (gently washed)
  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips (semi-sweet or dark)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease two 9-inch round cake pans and lightly dust with flour.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and sugar.
  3. In another bowl, cream butter and sugar until fluffy, about three minutes.
  4. Beat in eggs one at a time followed by vanilla extract until smooth.
  5. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, alternating with milk until well combined.
  6. Gently fold in raspberries and dark chocolate chips.
  7. Divide the batter between prepared pans and bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
