  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 2 large eggs (room temperature)
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup chopped hazelnuts (roasted)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, sugar, and baking powder.
  3. In another bowl, beat the eggs and mix in the vanilla extract. Combine with dry ingredients until just mixed.
  4. Fold in chocolate chips and hazelnuts.
  5. Form the dough into a log about 12 inches long on the baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes until set but slightly soft in the center. Cool for 10 minutes before slicing diagonally into half-inch pieces.
  7. Place slices cut-side down on the baking sheet and return to the oven for another 10 minutes per side until crisp.
