This dish is not only easy to prepare but also versatile, making it ideal for busy families or last-minute gatherings. Serve it over rice or noodles for a satisfying meal that everyone will love.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb flank steak, thinly sliced
  • 3 cups fresh broccoli florets
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1-inch piece ginger, grated
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup low-sodium beef broth
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp oil (for cooking)

Instructions

  1. Slice flank steak against the grain into thin strips and chop broccoli into bite-sized pieces.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, beef broth, minced garlic, grated ginger, and cornstarch until smooth.
  3. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sauté beef in batches until browned (about 2–3 minutes per side), then set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add broccoli with a splash of water. Cover and steam for about 3 minutes until bright green but still crisp.
  5. Return the beef to the skillet and pour in the sauce mixture. Stir over medium heat until bubbling and thickened (about 2 minutes).
  6. Serve hot over rice or noodles.
