Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup water
- 4 large eggs
- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup eggnog
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). In a saucepan, combine water and butter over medium heat until melted. Stir in flour and sugar until fully incorporated, cooking for about two minutes until it forms a ball.
- Remove from heat and let cool slightly before adding eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition until smooth.
- Transfer dough into a piping bag fitted with a large round tip. Pipe small mounds onto parchment-lined baking sheets, smoothing any peaks with wet fingers.
- Bake for about 20-25 minutes until puffed and golden brown. Avoid opening the oven too soon to prevent collapsing.
- In another bowl, whip heavy cream until soft peaks form, then gently fold in eggnog, nutmeg, and cinnamon.
- Once cooled completely, cut slits in the tops of each puff and pipe in the eggnog filling generously.
