Description

Gordon Ramsay’s Philly Cheesesteak Sloppy Joes combine the rich flavors of a classic Philly cheesesteak with the comfort of sloppy joes, making them a deliciously indulgent meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20 lean-to-fat ratio)
  • 1 green bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 medium sweet onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup Cheese Whiz or 8 oz Provolone cheese
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 2 tbsp yellow mustard
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 hamburger buns

Instructions

  1. Prepare your ingredients by chopping the bell pepper and onion and mincing the garlic.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, add oil and sauté onions and bell peppers until soft (about 5 minutes).
  3. Push veggies to the side, add ground beef, and cook until browned (about 7 minutes). Drain excess fat.
  4. Stir in garlic, Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, mustard, salt, and pepper; mix well.
  5. Add Cheese Whiz or provolone cheese, stirring until melted (about 2 minutes).
  6. Serve the mixture on toasted buns with your choice of garnishes.
