Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 cup fresh raspberries
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup sugar (for raspberry swirl)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a heart-shaped baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a saucepan over low heat, melt the unsalted butter with granulated and brown sugars until combined. Remove from heat and let cool slightly before whisking in eggs one at a time.
  3. In another bowl, mix together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Gradually fold into the butter mixture until just combined.
  4. For the raspberry swirl, cook fresh raspberries with sugar in a small saucepan over medium heat until they break down into sauce. Let cool slightly.
  5. Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared pan, dollop cream cheese on top followed by raspberry swirl, then pour remaining batter over.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Cool before cutting into heart shapes.
