  • 1 medium carrot, grated
  • 1 stalk celery, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 28 oz canned whole peeled tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup red wine
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Gather all ingredients on the counter for an organized cooking experience.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, warm olive oil. Add onions, carrots, and celery; sauté until softened.
  3. Push veggies aside and add ground beef. Cook until browned while breaking it apart with a wooden spoon.
