  • 28 oz can crushed tomatoes
  • 4 cups low-sodium beef broth
  • 8 oz lasagna noodles, broken into smaller pieces
  • 15 oz ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Fresh basil leaves (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Sauté chopped onions and minced garlic until translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
  2. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks.
  3. Stir in crushed tomatoes and beef broth; simmer for about 10 minutes.
  4. Add broken lasagna noodles and cook until al dente.
  5. Mix in ricotta cheese and Italian seasoning, stirring until well combined.
