These vibrant, delicious bites will impress even the toughest critics and are easy to prepare, making them the perfect side dish for summer barbecues or cozy dinners at home.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb Brussels sprouts, trimmed
  • 3 tbsp white miso paste
  • 2 tbsp honey or maple syrup
  • 1 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tsp toasted sesame oil
  • Skewers (wooden or metal)

Instructions

  1. Soak wooden skewers in water for 30 minutes to prevent burning.
  2. Rinse and trim Brussels sprouts, cutting larger ones in half.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together miso paste, honey (or maple syrup), soy sauce, and sesame oil until smooth.
  4. Thread Brussels sprouts onto skewers, packing them tightly but with space in between.
  5. Preheat grill to medium-high heat. Grill skewers for 8-10 minutes, turning occasionally until tender and caramelized.
  6. Remove from heat, drizzle with remaining glaze, and serve warm.
