  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (plain or Italian-seasoned)
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 large egg
  • 8 oz fresh mozzarella cheese, cut into small cubes
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, parsley, garlic, egg, salt, and pepper until combined.
  3. Form mixture into golf ball-sized meatballs and place on the baking sheet.
  4. Create an indentation in each meatball and fill it with mozzarella cubes; seal the meatball around the cheese.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes until cooked through and browned.
  6. Meanwhile, warm marinara sauce in a saucepan. Serve meatballs drizzled with sauce.
