  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)

  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 2 cups powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together pumpkin puree, granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, and melted butter until smooth.
  3. In another bowl, combine flour, cinnamon, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add dry ingredients to the pumpkin mixture and fold gently until just combined.
  4. Pour batter into the greased dish and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  5. Let cool completely before preparing frosting. Beat cream cheese and butter until fluffy; gradually mix in powdered sugar until smooth.
  6. Spread frosting over cooled pumpkin bars and cut into squares.
