  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp olive oil (for sautéing)
  • 1 can (15 oz) crushed tomatoes
  • 1 tsp dried Italian herbs (oregano and basil blend)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix the ricotta cheese, ground beef, breadcrumbs, garlic, parsley, egg, and Parmesan until well combined.
  3. Roll the mixture into golf ball-sized meatballs and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  4. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  5. While baking, heat olive oil in a saucepan over medium heat. Add crushed tomatoes and dried herbs; simmer for about ten minutes.
  6. Once cooked, gently add the meatballs to the sauce for a few minutes to soak up flavors.
