Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 tsp active dry yeast
  • 3/4 cup warm milk (110°F or 43°C)
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1/2 cup pistachios (finely chopped)
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine warm milk and active dry yeast. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. Add granulated sugar, melted butter, and flour to the mixture. Stir until combined and knead until smooth.
  3. Cover with a damp cloth and let rise in a warm place for about an hour or until doubled in size.
  4. Mix chopped pistachios with brown sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl for the filling.
  5. Roll out risen dough into a rectangle and spread softened butter over it. Sprinkle the pistachio mixture evenly on top.
  6. Roll up tightly from one edge, slice into equal pieces (about six), and place in a greased baking dish.
  7. Let rolls rise again for about 30 minutes while preheating oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake for around 25 minutes until golden brown.
