  • 1 medium green cabbage (about 2 lbs)
  • 1 lb ground beef or turkey
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 28 oz can tomato sauce
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Chop the cabbage into bite-sized pieces. Dice the onion and mince the garlic.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, heat olive oil and sauté the onion until translucent. Add garlic and stir until fragrant.
  3. Add ground meat; cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Stir in tomato sauce and Italian seasoning; let simmer on low for 5 minutes.
  5. Add chopped cabbage, stirring to coat with sauce. Cover and cook for about 10 minutes until cabbage is tender but still slightly crisp.
  6. Serve warm, garnished with parsley if desired.
