  • 2 egg yolks

  • 1/2 cup jelly or jam (your choice)
  • 1/4 cup colorful sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Mix in the egg yolks and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients until just combined.
  5. Shape the dough into balls (about one inch in diameter) and place them on the prepared baking sheet two inches apart.
  6. Use your thumb to create an indentation in each ball and fill it with jelly or jam.
  7. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden at the edges. Cool slightly before sprinkling with colorful decorations.
