Description

Valentine’s Chocolate Covered Strawberry Cupcakes are an irresistible dessert that combines moist chocolate cupcakes, rich chocolate ganache, and fresh strawberries. Ideal for romantic occasions or a sweet self-care treat, these delightful cupcakes are as beautiful as they are delicious.

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream (for ganache)
  • 4 oz semi-sweet chocolate (for ganache)
  • 6 fresh strawberries, rinsed and dried

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake pan with muffin liners.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and sugar.
  3. In another bowl, beat softened butter until creamy; add eggs one at a time along with vanilla extract. Mix until fluffy.
  4. Gradually combine the dry ingredients with the wet mixture while alternating with milk. Stir in chocolate chips.
  5. Fill each liner two-thirds full with batter and bake for 18–20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. For ganache, heat heavy cream until simmering; pour over chopped chocolate and stir until glossy.
  7. Once cooled completely, dip cupcakes into ganache and top with a fresh strawberry.
